Our Malpractice Policy

1. Purpose

This policy sets out the processes and procedures followed by EventMasters in the event of any reported malpractice. It is intended to protect the integrity of our assessment processes and the validity of certification awarded through our platform.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all learners and individuals involved in the delivery, development, or management of EventMasters courses. It includes any activity that may compromise the integrity of our self-paced assessments, platform tools, or certification processes.

3. Definition of Malpractice

Malpractice refers to any act or practice which intentionally seeks to undermine the fairness, validity, or credibility of EventMasters' assessments or certification. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Attempting to gain an unfair advantage in assessments
  • Misrepresenting identity or course progress
  • Fabricating assessment responses or evidence
  • Sharing or distributing course materials without authorisation
  • Any fraudulent activity linked to certification claims

4. Reporting Suspected Malpractice

Suspected malpractice must be reported in writing to: [insert final email address] with the subject line: MALPRACTICE REPORT – [Your Name]. Reports should include a clear description of the concern, relevant dates, and any supporting evidence.

5. Investigation Process

All reports will be acknowledged within 3 working days. An internal investigation will be conducted by the designated quality assurance lead. This may include reviewing platform data, assessment records, and communication logs. If necessary, the learner or other involved parties will be contacted for clarification.

6. Possible Outcomes

Following investigation, EventMasters may:

  • Dismiss the report if no evidence is found
  • Issue a warning and allow continued participation
  • Require reassessment
  • Withhold or revoke certification
  • Permanently remove access to the platform (in severe cases)

7. Right to Appeal

Any individual subject to a malpractice decision has the right to appeal. Appeals must be submitted within 15 working days of the outcome notification, in line with our Appeals Policy.

8. Confidentiality

All reports of suspected malpractice will be handled confidentially. EventMasters is committed to protecting the identity of whistleblowers where possible.

9. Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed annually or earlier in response to regulatory changes or significant platform developments.
